Happy almost-Thanksgiving! While Thanksgiving SHOULD be filled with warm fuzzies and lots of good food, sometimes it's also filled with relatives who lack tact... or kindness. The silver lining of relatives who are predictably pesky is that we can PREPARE to handle them in a way that sets our boundaries firmly-yet-gracefully. How to Court a Man

Courtship is the process by which two people get to know one another and decide if they have the possibility of a future together. Courting is different than dating in that courtship is a bit more serious, often with religious motivations and looking to the future with marriage as the ultimate goal. Sometimes courting can be more restricted than dating – with chaperone supervision, strict physical boundaries, or predetermined periods of interaction. If you want to court a man, you should make sure that you are compatible by spending time together, learning about his interests and background, and talking about your respective goals for the future.

If you've been single and in the dating world for a long time (a relative term, so take it as you will), you've likely stumbled across a "serial dater" at some point.

A serial dater is a unique breed. They fall somewhere in between a casual dater—a person who intentionally seeks very lighthearted romantic or sexual connections (often seeing multiple partners at once)—and a serial monogamist—a person who goes from one relationship into the next without spending much time alone in between them. The serial dater is one who loves the thrill of the chase and the excitement of the beginning, then jumps ship—to a first date with another person—before anything too serious can develop.
