GREETINGS FROM DR. CHLOE FOR OUR APRIL NEWSLETTER

Hello,

Hope your April has been great so far!  Things have been busy-but-good here, which is just the way I usually like it (except when I just need to get lots of rest + relaxation, like I did for a little while after last month's book launch!).  Taking some downtime definitely helped me get ready to get "back on the field" for lots of April activity shown below:)

One of the biggest realizations I've had this year is learning to monitor my output of energy-- I used to just think that as long as I had time to schedule something, it could be done.  Now I realize that I need to also consider the ENERGY that something takes.  For example, I've learned that if I do a big speaking event, TV appearance, or workshop then I actually need to schedule some downtime afterwards to just recharge and reconnect with myself after focusing so intensely on an audience.  What about you?  Have you found a similar dynamic with big/intense events in your life?  What are they, and how do you recharge?  Feel free to hit reply and tell me, or if you like to put yourself out there then click one of the social share buttons below to share this newsletter on social media along with your answer.... feel free to reply 1:1 or on social media, whatever is best for you!:)

As always, I'm eager to hear what you'd like to see in future issues of this newsletter.... or if you want me to just "keep doing what I'm doing" then I'd love to know that too =)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and connect with me.  I am truly thankful to have a great community here, and I hope you will get more involved if you'd like-- we have a new community feature on www.anxietytools.com.  If you'd like FREE access in exchange for giving me feedback on the product and making an effort to participate in the online community, please just hit reply and we'll set you up!

Thanks again, and take care!

Best,

One of my quotes:

"polyamorous relationships can be structured in a bunch of different ways (maybe one person is the primary partner, maybe everyone’s on an even playing field, etc.), but being ethically non-monogamous is a way to ensure that everyone involved in the relationship is comfortable with the situation."

The 15-Second Gratitude Trick That Will Boost Your Mood Daily

One of my quotes: "This is super helpful because we don't experience positive emotions from happy events that we don't fully register or realize. Our society can sometimes reward us more for noticing problems or criticisms [rather] than for noticing positives, so creating our own reward system for recognizing positive events works to our benefit"

How to Eliminate Worry

Do you catch yourself thinking about the same things over and over again? Do you often think about things that haven't happened, but could happen? If so, you probably suffer from worrying. Worrying is a form of thinking. It can be repetitive and non-productive because it doesn’t solve a situation, and at times, it can make situations worse. When you worry, your stress levels rise. This can affect decision-making skills, your happiness, and relationships.

NERVOUS ENERGY FEATURED ON THE 360 MAGAZINE!

HOW TO USE NERVOUS ENERGY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Editing a speech so many times that when you’re about to present, you botch all your important lines. Stressing over your first-date outfit because it just isn’t perfect — to the point that you’re now late…and more frazzled than before. Drawing that same illustration a third time to get it to look exactly the way you want but ultimately ripping the page out of your sketchbook, frustrated and, well, over it.

If any of these scenarios feel even remotely familiar, you could be dealing with a crushing dose of what I call nervous energy. But the good news is: This type of seemingly negative energy can actually give you an edge when it comes to success. I’m so passionate about helping people understand and achieve this that I recently wrote an entire book about it, Nervous Energy: Harness the Power of Your Anxiety. In it, you’ll find nine techniques that will enable you to not only be more successful despite your nervous energy, but because of it. Read the full article.
