May 2019 Newsletter

Greetings!

So happy summer is almost here! Time to unwind and relax... if relaxation for you means getting free of difficult decisions, having a leg-up on business or relationship situations, or helping charities such as Kiva (fantastic place that offers micro-loans to entrepreneurs in developing economies) then this issue is for you!

As always, please feel free to hit "reply" on this and tell me if there are any topics you'd like to see addressed in future newsletters, or if you have any stories to share from your own life about how you've been using the tips from this newsletter to reach goals in your life!

Thank you so much for reading... hope to connect with you soon whether through my blogs or media quotes and self-help materials below or through a live session, or through my program for therapists (details on all below!).

Yours,

Dr. Chloe Carmichael PhD

Dr. Chloe on FOX 5 News!

Happy to be back on Fox 5 News to share tips on decision-making skills.

Here's one of my favorites tips:
Avoid making decisions in certain mental states.
Here is when you should HALT
if possible- when you are:
  • Hungry
  • Angry
  • Lonely
  • Tired
If you feel any of the things above, you might be vulnerable to poor decisions... so postpone if possible!
One exception might be if you're making a decision to leave behind a person or situation that keeps putting you in situations where you're experiencing hunger/anger/loneliness/fatigue. In those cases connecting with the negative consequences of that person/situation can help fuel a GOOD decision to move forward.
Happy decision making!
